How do I find duplicate screenshots on iPhone?
Copies are not always identical. A screenshot re-saved by another app may look the same but have different file data.
Two kinds of matches
The app separates byte-for-byte identical files from visual matches. Exact duplicates use file comparison. Visual matching considers the image and recognised text. Treat a visual match as a prompt to review the images, especially if one contains a useful crop, annotation or later edit.
Keep the copy that matters
Open a duplicate group, compare the images and decide which version to retain. Keep Newest can mark older copies for removal, but a newer timestamp does not prove an image is the best or highest-quality copy. Review your selected images before confirming deletion.
A small first clean-up
Try one duplicate group first. Confirm that the retained image is the one you need. Then move to the next group. Detection is performed on your device, and your photographs are not uploaded to our servers for matching.
